  • How long does a roof replacement take?

Most residential roof replacements are completed in 1-2 days depending on the size of the roof, weather, and any underlying damage found during the tear-off.

  • Why does it matter whether my roof is vented properly?

Proper ventilation is essential to keeping roofs looking and performing their best.  Without proper ventilation, excessive heat & moisture can get trapped in the attic, causing damage to your home.  A properly ventilated attic gives the trapped heat and moisture an escape route – resulting in improved home energy efficiency – and enhances the performance of shingles.  Proper insulation and ventilation minimize the temperature difference between the attic and the air outside, helping to reduce energy costs.

  • Do dark shingles make your house hotter?

Yes – however, proper ventilation and insulation will counteract the effect of dark shingles.

  • What is Ice & Water Barrier?

It is a self-sealing layer that allows for proper water flow, helps in preventing damage caused by shingle blow-off, wind-driven rain and ice damming .  It is added protection in the most vulnerable sections of the roof to create a second line of defense.

  • Are your shingles resistant to hail damage?

Yes.  Owens Corning Duration Series Shingles have enhanced impact resistance to hail and pass the UL 2218 and FM 4473 testing for Class 3 Impact Resistance providing a potential savings for homeowners.  Because shingle products rated for Impact Resistance may be less likely to need repair or replacement, they can qualify for a homeowner insurance discount.  Homeowners should check with their insurance company for discount qualification details and requirements.

  • What type of roof warranty to you offer?

As an Owens Corning Platinum Preferred Contractor, we are qualified to offer the highest level of Owens Corning warranty available -  the Platinum Protection Limited Lifetime Warranty which covers 50 years on materials and 25 years on workmanship.

  • Do you offer financing?

Yes, we offer a variety of different financing options with some plans qualifying with as little as 0% interest.

  • Why do I need bigger gutters?

6” gutters can carry approximately 1½ times more water than a 5” gutter helping to keep water away from the house.

  • Why are seamless gutters better?

Seamless gutters provide a cleaner and more appealing look and also have les of a chance for leaks due to eliminating most connecting joints.

  • How do I know if I need new windows?

Drafts, fogging between panes, difficult operation, rising energy bills, or visible frame damage are common signs it may be time for replacement windows.

  • Why do I want double pane windows?

Double pane windows provide a better insulation quality which increases the comfort level in the home and can help reduce utility bills.
